SQL Server Audits Rates and Billing
Consulting Rates
I like to keep things simple: $100 / hour.
My analysis is excellent - and it's thorough. The same goes for the solutions that I implement or help implement.
And I charge by the hour until everything is complete.
How Does a Typical Engagement Work?
Engagements start when you contact me with information about
your problems or concerns - or to initiate a SQL Server Audit. Together, we'll
draw up an estimate of how many hours it will likely take to address the situation. This initial
estimate and consultation is free of charge.
Once you give me the green light, I'll go to work - keeping you apprised of progress and status along the way.
And I'll contact you if something needs your attention, or if a problem starts to threaten the scope of our
initial estimate.
With Audits, there are typically a number of issues that need to be addressed once
the audit is complete. The findings document I provide as part of the audit will help you to remedy these issues
yourself, but most of my clients turn to me to either help implement the fixes outlined in the findings document, or
provide additional guidance as they work through these fixes themselves. Either way, I'll be there to help if you need
it - and all at the same rate.
Billing
Unless otherwise arranged, I invoice around the 1st and 16th of each month on NET 30 terms (i.e. payment is due within
30 days of invoice). However if I've only just started an engagement or there hasn't been a lot of activity on your
projects within a billing period, I may forgo invoicing until the next billing cycle.
