Initial Consultations are Always Free

Initial (free) consultations typically last 30 - 40 minutes. For bigger problems or concerns, this is usually enough time to discuss your current needs, talk through some high level options, and decide a potential course of action. For smaller issues, this is usually enough time to help point you in the right direction, give you some insights into what might be going on, and help outline some ideas for troubleshooting, etc.

There's no catch. Free consultations give me a chance to see if I can meet your needs, and they give you the chance to see how I work - with no commitments or obligations.

This actually happens all the time. But if I can solve your problems over the phone, for free, you're more likely to recommend me to your peers or call me back when you have tougher problems.
